Love Life! A poem

Hidden Flowers by Nicole Kost
Love life! The sticky new leaves of spring,
Of hidden flowers in the cement, sing.
For enough can be found in nature to love,
To cause the heart and mind to praise God above.
And the desert shall bloom like the rose,
And Eden’s reborn where her breath blows.

Love life! The changing of tenses and mood.
The known and unknown, the crowds and the solitude,
Are part of the glory of living a life.
Rage at the sickness, the sadness, the strife
Hate all the madness, the evil, and sadness,
But learn to drink far deeper of gladness.

Love life! Get drunk on its sound and smell
And give yourself wholly to this enchanting spell.
For higher still than tongue or pen can tell,
Is given to those who love Him, loving well.
Lords of earth, rejoice! And in elation dwell.
